Lou Diamond Phillips has been married thrice with two subsequent divorces as well. His first marriage to assistant director, Julie Cyher, in September 1987 ended in August 1990, & after which Julie announced herself as a lesbian & became partner of Melissa Etheridge. Later after meeting Jennifer Tilly, the two remained engaged for brief time but were never married. In 1994, Lou took Penthouse model & television personality, Kelly Phillips as his second wife. The couple has three daughters together, Grace Moorea & Isabella Patricia (twins born in October 1997) & Lilli Jordan, who was born in September of 1999. However they two separated in 2004 & divorced was finalized in July 2007. As per now, Lou is happily married to artist Yvonne Boismier since 2004 & they have a daughter named Indigo Sanara Phillips, born in October 2007.

Louis Diamond Phillips, an American actor & director, is a Golden Globe nominee, is notable for his breakthrough role as Ritchie Valens in 1987's American biographical movie "La Bamba". Nominee of Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Angel Guzman in 1988's drama film "Stand and Deliver", Lou has also earned Tony Award nomination for his stunning performance in "The King and I". It was Broadway debut in 1996 when he appeared as King in Oscar Hammerstein II & Richard Rodgers's "The King and I", for which he earned Theater World Awards & nomination for both Drama Desk Award & Tony Award. In year 1988, he was casted as Cisco in comedy-action film "The Big Hit". During mid-1990s, Lou served as vocalist for the Los Angeles rock band called "The Pipefitters". Later from 2002 to 2004, Lou was featured as George Lopez's half-brother on television sitcom "George Lopez". Later in September of 2007, Lou joined touring troupe for Loewe & Lerner's "Camelot" in the part of King Arthur. In addition to his acting, he has also played the part of secret government agent named Mark DeSalvo in first season of television series "24", followed by recurring role of Ian Edgerton in television series "Numb3rs". Also featured in the second season of NBC's reality show "I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!", which he finished winning, in January of 2012, Lou was among one of the eight celebrities participating on Food Network reality series "Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off".

Lou Diamond Phillips Upchurch, born in Subic Bay Naval Station, Philippines, on February 17th, 1962, the child of Gerald Amon Upchurch, United States Navy army & Lucita Umayam Aranas. Raised in Texas, Louis took the surname of his step-father "Phillips", after his father death. Attendant of Flour Bluff High School located in Corpus Christi, Lou graduated from there in 1980. Later he graduated with BFA in Drama from University of Texas at Arlington.
